In order to commemorate the role that military leader Ye Ting holds in the history of modern China, the Macau SAR Government, in collaboration with the Women's General Association, recently commissioned the repair of the revolutionary’s former residence in addition to organizing a photographic exhibition of his life as ‘a tribute to the revolutionary and his choice of Macau as a second home’.

In order to faithfully restore the old building’s facade and mount the exhibition, the Cultural Affairs Bureau enrolled the help of Ye Ting’s sons and the city of Huizhou, who provided photographs and materials from the Museum of Ye Ting. Following this first phase of restoration, the Cultural Affairs Bureau plans to enlarge and further restore the interiors of the house in order to leave a legacy for future generations.
